This past Saturday, we had the privilege of making the wedding cake for Izelle & Willem’s wedding held at Gelukkie in Paternoster. The colour scheme was rich plum colours which reflected in the cake.
This is what Izelle had to say: “That cake not only looked great, it tasted even better. I had to ask Cindy to pack it up for me because guests insisted on having some more after dinner.”
For Lexi & Mike’s wedding held at Blue Bay Lodge, we had delight of making a semi-naked 3 tier wedding cake. Top tier: vanilla sponge with salted caramel. Middle tier: carrot cake with cream cheese. Bottom tier: rich chocolate sponge with milk chocolate ganache.

December 05, 2015: Melissa & Markus Williams
We were very honoured to make this most elegant wedding cake for Melissa & Markus. It consisted of 3 tiers. The bottom tier was a dummy, the middle tier was a rich chocolate sponge cake with layers of raspberry puree & raspberry buttercream. The top tier was a delicate “champagne” cake with layers of vanilla bean pastry cream. We also made beautiful cookies bearing the names: Melissa & Markus that were given to their guests.

I just wanted to take a quick moment to say thank you for your beautiful creations…the cake was absolutely divine and delicious. The cookies were lovely…everything was perfect!
It was such a pleasure ‘working’ with you and you made everything so easy and effortless. Sorry I didn’t get to meet you on Saturday…I think it was such a rush towards the end, I didn’t even know you were at Gelukkie.
We had such an amazing day on Saturday and couldn’t have wished for more. A bit sad it’s all over…i wish there was still some cake left!
